Draftkings Goes Down On Sunday 11-16-2014 due to server issues

Many people freaked out (including myself) but they have made good on the promise of corrections. All of my Sunday contests have successfully been refunded. This is also a nice reassurance from Draftkings. This is the email sent to users.

As many of you are aware, our site experienced performance issues and outages over the course of morning and afternoon. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you. We strive for flawless service and the best possible experience for our players, and we do not take interruptions such as this lightly. After working around the clock. we are confident we have resolved the underlying technical issues, and as of evening the site is back up, stable, and fully functional.

We received over 10,000 emails from customers during this time, and it has taken a few days to get back to everyone with accurate answers and resolutions. We apologize for that delay in response as we tried to make it right for everyone.

We would like to take this time to address a few of the questions we have gotten. First, we did not cancel the player appreciation freeroll; the contest was temporarily hidden from view until we were confident that the site was stable and the issues had been resolved. The final results from the contest are now available on the site for those who participated in the freeroll. Another highly-asked question was regarding the delays in scoring and players missing points. This was directly related to the underlying issue and was resolved by evening, updating all the final scores for the players in later NFL games.

At DraftKings our players have always come first. Ensuring our systems remain responsive and reliable with the growth of our player base and contest sizes has been a top priority for us, and it will continue to be so. If you have any further questions that were not addressed above, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your continued loyalty and support.

Sincerely,

Jason Robins

How To Win Big Money On Draftkings or FanDuel

This is the Million Dollar lineup from week 10 on Draftkings. This is the perfect winner scenario. He picked virtually un-owned players and totally unexpected performers.

Regardless if your playing #FantasyFootball on Draftkings or FanDuel, Go against the odds. You must pick players that are not owned by the masses.

Read Below for a great example of this.

If you are playing in a Head to Head, or a 50/50 daily fantasy game, you need to have a lineup that is considered safer. When you need to beat one-50 other players, you aren’t going to select a bunch of boom-or-bust players for your lineup.
For instance, I would normally go with Greg Olsen as my tight end for a Head to Head or a 50/50 game. Currently, Olsen is the fifth-highest scoring tight in standard scoring fantasy football leagues, and he is facing the 32nd ranked pass defense of the Atalanta Falcons in Week 11. He is reasonably priced at $5,100, and he is currently averaging 15.3 fantasy points per game through DraftKings’ format.
For a tournament play, however, I would do things a little different. The Seattle Seahawks‘ defense has been pricey on daily sites because of reputation alone in 2014, but this isn’t the same unit that won the Super Bowl against the Denver Broncos. The Seahawks’ defense is currently allowing the fourth-most points to tight ends this season, which meansTravis Kelce, is a player with a ton of upside for only $4,000. Kelce has been the definition of boom-or-bust for daily players this year, but I feel comfortable taking a chance on the 25-year old tight end. Kelce will probably be low owned since he is facing Seattle, and that only boosts his value.
Olsen could have a nice game with 13-15 points, but I am hoping Kelce can repeat his Week 4 performance of 23.3 points. Saving money on Kelce will also allow me to spend more money at quarterback, running back or wide receiver.

Picking Mark Sanchez Week 10 Guaranteed Million Dollar Week 10 Pick

Mark Sanchez is the week 10 Quarterback to pick. Why? You know Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers will have Big Time Games, So go against the common picks. Picking Sanchez will save cap room to pickup Demaryius Thomas, Antonio Brown, Randall Cobb or Jordy Nelson.
